Arizona’s abortion laws have undergone major changes not just through elections, but through litigation that delivers immediate impact.
Choices Abortion Network (CAN) exists to help patients understand their rights, navigate options, and overcome financial and logistical barriers to care.
On February 6, 2026, an Arizona court struck down the 24-hour waiting period and the state’s ban on telemedicine abortion.
This means:
This court victory resulted directly from a legal challenge led by CAN’s founder and president an independent Arizona provider who stood up to defend Prop 139 and make sure its promise became reality.
“We didn’t just fight for abortion access. We won it and now patients are feeling the results.”
Medication abortion (the “abortion pill”) is safe, effective, and now more accessible than ever in Arizona.
With the telemedicine ban lifted, eligible patients can:
CAN helps patients understand:
Available telemedicine options
When in-person care may still be required (e.g., gestational age, medical conditions)
Our role is educational, supportive, and grounded in real-time legal knowledge.
CAN helps patients understand:
Whether medication abortion may be an option
Our role is educational and supportive, helping patients navigate a rapidly evolving landscape.
Legal rights don’t automatically equal practical access.
Even today, many patients in Arizona still face:
Even Phoenix the state’s largest city remains underserved, especially for medication abortion through telemedicine.
That’s why CAN exists:
To make sure legal access translates into real access, especially for:
Choices Abortion Network works to make abortion access real not just theoretical.
We do this by:
Providing financial support that can be applied toward care with licensed providers
Providing logistical support for patients who must seek care outside Arizona
Choices Abortion Network provides financial and logistical support only. We do not provide medical or clinical services. Medical care is provided by licensed healthcare providers. Instead, we focus on removing the obstacles that prevent patients from accessing care they are legally entitled to receive.
Choices Abortion Network supports patients seeking care from trusted, licensed abortion providers in Arizona and beyond to support patient access based on medical need, availability, and location.
Patients may receive care from providers such as independent clinics such as Choices Women’s Center and Family Planning Associates. When care is not available in Arizona, CAN also provides navigation and support for patients who must travel out of state.
If you are unsure where to start or are worried about cost, help is available. CAN is here to support patients with dignity, confidentiality, and respect.
When abortion restrictions fall, demand for care surges but so do costs.
CAN is committed to covering the last mile gap: medication, travel, and related logistical costs
If you want to make a difference in Arizona this is the moment.
Your donation to CAN will be used immediately to help patients take advantage of newly restored rights.
DONATE NOW – Make access real.
